The US Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business organization, representing small and large businesses on a national level.
ACCE serves more than 9,000 members in the chamber of commerce, convention and visitor bureaus, and economic development agencies throughout the US.
Every state has a state chamber of commerce that advocates for its member businesses at a state level. We encourage you to click on the link below to visit our list of chamber of commerce.
State Chamber of Commerce groups form to collectively bring chamber executives from around the state to develop a program of work for its membership. This might include an educational component, a reference library, a mini-conference, or a certification program.
Many states have regional chamber of commerce association. Example: In my home state of Minnesota there are 5 or 6 regional associations. These smaller associations allow its executives to meet on a regular basis and develop plans for sharing their regions business/community voice to its state/national level.
Glenn Shepard has been a chamber of commerce consultant for decades, providing consulting services to boards of directors, membership and corporate entities. Glenn has been a constant source of professional training at Institutes for Organizational Management.
Patrick H. McGaughey is America's Chamber Mentor -- Pat's effective and efficient online planning facilitation process inspires board engagement by 1) developing boards of directors, 2) orientating boards in general, 3) surveying the board for confidential input and creating board ownership, 4) working with the executive board survey information, compiling a strategic plan, and 5) collaborating with the executive to present the updated plan for board approval and implementation.
In order to achieve our success in the non-profit association industry, we do not have to be the smartest or the greatest -- we just need to surround ourselves with the best in the industry -- and that is exactly what we have done at The NPA.
The organizations listed in the text box to the right have contributed to
The-NPA.org in a variety of ways. Some have submitted articles for us to use, some have written posts for our daily blogs, and others have allowed us to share information from their website.
